Vikram is a Civil & Environmental Engineer who spent over 15 yrs in the construction industry as a Civil Engineer and as a contractor. Around 2003, he decided to embark on a new journey. His knowledge in land development and everything that is built on top, prompted him into the commercial real estate realm. He completed all the courses required of a CCIM designation and worked with Marcus & Millichap in their DC offices as their Hospitality Advisor for the region for 8 yrs where he has listed hotel properties in MD, VA, NJ, PA, NY, NC, SC, GA on the East Coast and as far away as CA & OR on the West Coast. He also has an Executive Certificate in Hotel RE and Asset Management from eCornell part of the prestigious Cornell Hotel School.
While it wasn't still very popular, he set up a full research office in Bangalore staffed by as many as 6 virtual research assistants to research and update property and ownership records of all hotel assets across the region. This allowed him to be very targeted in finding the right buyers for listed assets. The team also helped other agents in the M&M DC office on a 'hire by assignment' basis.
He now serves as Managing Partner with AREAS. The office is focused on serving Hotel Brokerage and consulting needs of the Mid-Atlantic region especially focused on the Baltimore & Washington, DC extended metros.
